Nueces Canyon Junior Horse Club Summer Youth Horse Club At our end-of-season awards banquet, the participants are presented with a variety of awards, ranging from buckles to tack.

The Nueces Canyon Junior Horse Club is a non-profit organization that allows children and youth from Camp Wood, Texas and surrounding communities to compete in a variety of horse events at Bruce Park Arena in Camp Wood, Texas. The participants, ranging in age from 2-19 years, compete in lead-line classes, clover-leaf barrel racing, straight-barrel racing, pole bending, flag racing, goat tying, and

breakaway steer roping. Our goal is for each participant to receive an award they are proud to have earned. Each year, we ask for donations and award sponsors. All the money we raise from fundraisers, donations and concession sales goes toward the participants' awards and club operation.
