Established in 1947, we are the original El Cajon Valley-Area Lion's Club - thus the "Host" in our name. Since 1917, Lions clubs have offered people the opportunity to give something back to their communities. From involving members in projects as local as cleaning up an area park or as far-reaching as bringing sight to the world’s blind, Lions clubs have always embraced those committed to buildin

Today with more 1.4 million members in 46,600 clubs in 210 countries, Lions have expanded their focus to help meet the ever-increasing needs of our global community. Our programs are continually changing to meet new needs and greater demands, but our mission has never wavered: “We Serve.”

Members committed to solving worldwide health and social problems, and who realize that solutions are possible when every Lions club does its share. People who cherish the fellowship of their own club, but who also feel a close kinship with Lions in countries and areas throughout the world. Patriotic citizens of their own countries, who, in the global community, strive for a world at peace.
