🐐💙 We Did It, Kentucky! Honorable Mention! 💙🐓

We are over the moon to share that our little sanctuary has been awarded Honorable Mention in this year’s Best of Kentucky — right alongside some of the largest county shelters in the state. 😲

For a small, rural, volunteer‑powered sanctuary like ours, this recognition means the world. It’s proof that compassion, community, and a whole lot of muddy boots can stand tall next to the big guys.

To everyone who voted, shared, cheered us on, or simply believes in the work we do for rescued and heritage‑breed animals — thank you. You helped lift our tiny corner of Kentucky onto a statewide stage.

Every goat, pig, sheep, rabbit, duck, and chicken here sends a grateful little “thank you” too.
Here’s to kindness winning hearts across the Commonwealth.

We are thrilled to announce that our Jersey Giants and Polish breed chickens are on The Livestock Conservancy RECOVERY list and no longer threatened! Yay!!

Anyone interested in some beautiful, productive Jersey Giant hens and/or one very handsome, non-aggressive roo? Message us for adoption info and start your Jersey flock to keep their numbers up.

Any suggestions on what heritage or threatened chicken breed we should add to our Save Heritage Breed program?? Let us know what you think!

Interested in hatching your own chicken eggs?

We'll be placing some hatching eggs into our sanctuary store today. These are eggs that we would rather not ship because the ship time would possibly take the eggs past our 7 day max to incubate.
Available eggs are 3 to 6 days old and still good to incubate.
Check out the store for: 1 Dz each of Salmon Faverolle, Jersey Giant, White Crested Polish & Silver Laced Polish plus a dz assorted with 6 Bielefelder, 4 Jersey Giant & 2 Buff Brahma. Each DZ are marked down to $12.00. Great deal!

595 Osborne Rd. Ekron. Take the northern GRAVEL driveway where the banner is displayed for the store. Make payment by Cashapp, Venmo, Paypal or payment box inside the shop.

*Come by the store please. Please don't message or call to see if they are still available because we just aren't in the store enough to know. I'll check each morning and try to edit the availability.
*Also, we know our roosters are doing their job. Just because we have great hatch rates here, doesn't mean we are going to guarantee yours. We are offering a sweet price for some great breeds, and it doesn't come with any type of refund if you don't get them to hatch!
