USAFA Women Writers are working diligently on a book to tell the story of 50 years of women at USAFA, and the deadline for submissions is quickly approaching on August 15, 2024.

Our mission is to illuminate the unknown stories of USAFA women alum, all of whom defied conventional wisdom and societal norms. This is a universal tale of inspiration, achievement, resilience, empowerment, and healing.

We are seeking submissions from ALL alumnae, grad and non-grads. EVERYONE who walked up the Ramp on that first day of BCT and experienced the Academy as women are encouraged to submit.

The Ripples of Change Foundation has partnered with us to conduct FREE oral interviews. We’ve also partnered with the MilSpeak Foundation on a series of writing workshops you can attend for FREE.
SUBMISSION FORMAT:
1500 words max, double-spaced, 12-point font, Times New Roman or similar, 1-inch margins.
If submitting poetry, we understand formatting may differ from this.
Written pieces must be DOC, DOCX or PDF file format.
Digital imagery must be JPG or PNG file format ONLY.
Images must be high resolution, 600 KB to 1 MB.

The USAFA Women Writers are a group of USAFA graduates that are writing a book to tell the story of the 50 years of the women of the Air Force Academy.
