❗️Teutopolis / Effingham / Dieterich Area❗️

Looking for a rental home for a family (two adults and small child) that was displaced by the tornado. Would prefer to be in the Teutopolis area, branching out into the Effingham, Dieterich or Montrose area if needed. The family has a couple cats they would prefer to bring with them, but not a deal breaker. They lost almost everything in the tornado so would be even better if it was somewhat furnished, but also not a deal breaker.

Please send details to United Way of Effingham County as we are in direct contact with the family. You can comment here, send a message, call (217) 342-3824 or email [email protected]

Thank you!

Effingham County - Time to be weather aware again!

Have a way to receive alerts and a safe place to be. Storms entering the area.

2:41 PM - STRONG TORNADO POTENTIAL INCREASING: The Storm Prediction Center has highlighted a narrow zone surrounding the Effingham area where a few strong tornadoes (EF2+) are possible.

This is the area I anticipated potentially needing to raise the tornado risk to a 6/10. Might as well consider it as a 6-7/10 now in the red area.
