It’s the Last Weekend of the Month so it’s time for a
Mixed Surface Ride!

However,
If you’re not in the mood for a “mixed surface” ride or don’t have an appropriate bike (24c tires are not the best for this ride) we have an Road Bike Option, too!

Mixed Surface.
The Susquehanna Warrior Trail follows the Susquehanna River from West Nanticoke to the Steam Electric Station in Salem Township (a/k/a the Berwick Nuke). This ride will start at the shop and “officially” go to Shickshinny. If you have the legs and want to go as far as the Steam Electric Station, be our guest. As I recall, round trip to Salem Twp from the shop is in the neighborhood of 50 miles total.

The Road Bike Ride
Rt 29 & Chase Road

Another ride for just about all levels of fitness.
South from Around Town Bicycles crossing the Susquehanna River into Plymouth and following US Rt 11 South to PA 29.

Route 29 is a gentle climb to Chase Road.
While some of us will turn around at Chase Road, those looking for more miles and additional challenges can follow Chase Road to Jackson Twp and beyond.

The weather looks to be cool to start with very little (as in single digit percentage) chance of rain. Although, weather prediction is an art, not a science, so it always pays to watch the weather reports.

We’re headed North to follow the Susquehanna River along Coxton Road to Ransom Township.

Once we arrive at the meet up spot in Ransom there are several options for extending the ride if you’re looking for additional miles.

This week’s ride leaves Around Town Bicycles at 7:30 AM.

We just got the artwork for the 2026 kits. This is a mock up but not the finished product. Once we have everything approved, which will hopefully be by this Tuesday we will get the order sent out. Please send us a direct message ideally on Instagram, but if not on Facebook if you want to order kits, including how many what size. We will have jerseys bib shorts, arm warmers, leg warmers, Cycling caps, and thermal vests. We do not have the full pricing available yet, but imagine something similar to prior years. For that info check back in our feed for the table that shows the pricing. Any questions feel free to send us a direct message as well and share with anyone who you think would want to get a kit!

It’s that time of year again! No i’m not talking about Christmas, i’m talking about the club officers voting meeting! Come join us at the Domino’s in Carbondale Monday, December 29 at 5:30pm for a yearly review, voting in officers for the 2026 season and get the inside scoop on some things we’re planning for the upcoming year. oh and free pizza of course!
