North Pocono Fall Classic day 1 in the books. Thank you everyone who came out the help and race! And thank you to our wonderful land owners for not only allowing the event to be put on but also with prepping the course, day of management and all their time with making this a great first year. The North Pocono Fall Classic is on this weekend Oct 10th and 11th rain or shine. It looks like shine! Opportunities for everyone to race with your second race of the day half price (excluding single speed and tandem since those are already priced at half price) when you pick up your numbers for both of your races we will give you your cash reimbursement for half priced 2nd race. Looking forward to seeing everyone up here in Northeast Pennsylvania any questions feel free to shoot me a message and we will get you sorted. These barriers are 11 inches high and sat at the max distance apart regulation wise to help with making sure people can hop them. We also have 5 1/2 inch log rollovers that with a little bit of practice can be easily hopped for most every rider. The course will be mowed one more time to really make sure that we are giving prime conditions for the riders. Register through Bikereg. We will be doing day of registration for an additional cost so please pre-register and make my life a lot easier! Also, if you’re having any issues with registering before and getting a one day novice license, I got that sorted on the backend this morning. So you should be all set to register.

436 watts for 47 minutes. Close to a PB. Bruno Armirail’s watts suggested the Worlds TT should have been one of his best results ever, but it was only good enough for 26th.

Armirail was confused. He wonder if his suit wasn’t aero enough. But an Escape Collective analysed the Strava files of 11 riders in the race, including Armirail’s, and the data suggests the unexplained losses came elsewhere… the corners.

Ronan Mc Laughlin delved into that analysis and writes about what that disconnect says about cycling’s obsession with power. His conclusion… Armirail’s power pb and his result are not the paradox here, as we collectively risk assuming; it’s our conclusion that power should explain a result that is the paradox.
