Each year is just as difficult.. we miss you just as much as the year before and the pain of what your missing sits like a dull ache in the pit of our stomach… we will always keep your memory alive and remember the wonderful person that you are… we will always strive to make changes and improvements that will help others and hopefully save lives… we love you! — Kid 🌹

◾️ Thom’s Bench ( Entrance of Hampton Glen)

◾️ 6:30 PM

◾️ I have the Event Room at Alphonso’s in Troy Reserved immediately following the brief bench gathering. 7:00 PM

We will gather and share a meal together at one of his favorite restaurants.

◾️Just a heads up.. next year will mark the 10 year anniversary of this very sad day. I will be organizing a bigger bench gathering and am reserving the OTR Space at the InkHouse for a reception of guests. We will have food and drinks and a TV playing with a special video.

◾️I am also planning a Trivia Night for the Spring! There is also two dine and donate fundraisers being organized as well!!! More details to follow!!!

The Thomas J Layden Foundation would like to thank the Madison County Sheriff's Office for their Distracted Driving Enforcement Campaign and their continued dedication to protect citizens and save lives!

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office announces distracted driving
enforcement results for April 2026

(Madison County, IL.) – The Madison County Sheriff's Office announced it issued 48 citations for distracted driving violations during April's Distracted Driving Awareness Month enforcement campaign.

"Distracted driving remains a serious problem in Madison County, and one moment of inattention can change lives forever," said Captain Matt Werner. "High-visibility enforcement is one way we remind drivers that safe driving requires their full attention. April may be over, but our message is not. The Madison County Sheriff's Office will continue enforcing distracted driving laws and urging motorists to put the phone away whenever they get behind the wheel."

The Madison County Sheriff's Office joined forces with the Illinois State Police, local law enforcement and highway safety partners for this enforcement effort.

The Illinois distracted driving campaign was funded with federal traffic safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.

Edwardsville Police Announce Distracted Driving Enforcement results

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – The Edwardsville Police Department announced it issued 63 citations for hands-free law violations and issued 13 citations for other violations during April’s Distracted Driving Awareness Month enforcement campaign.

“We prioritize traffic safety because every member of our community deserves to get home safely," said Lt. Matt Senci. "This extra enforcement serves as a reminder to drivers to stay off our devices, stay engaged with our surroundings, and keep our focus on the road.”

The Edwardsville Police Department teamed up with the Illinois State Police, other local law enforcement and highway safety partners for this effort. This effort was conducted in addition to normal enforcement activities by the Edwardsville Police Department.

The Illinois distracted driving campaign is funded with federal traffic safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
