"Up Front: WWII Living History Group" is an organization dedicated to preserving the memories of the "GI." The US Army Infantryman who moved across North Africa, the Mediterranean, Europe, and the Pacific most often by foot to liberate the world from the oppression of the Third Reich and the Empire of Japan. Our goal is to educate the public about the hardships the Infantryman endured throughout a

ll theaters of WWII, the sacrifices they made, and their successes by way of living history presentations. While our group may be new, collectively among our membership we have 20+ years of reenacting/living history experience. It isn't just about the weapons, uniforms and equipment used by the Infantryman, it is the personal stories and experiences from the Greatest Generation that we convey to the public. We pride ourselves on doing extensive research so that we may portray the WWII Army Infantryman as accurately as possible and pass along the memories of those who came before us. We attend several events throughout the Midwest every year that enables us to tell the story of the Infantryman. Keep an eye to our page to find out what event we will be at next!
