We were so proud to represent the Jenneca Simkonis Memorial Foundation at the Recovery Bank’s Annual Recovery Walk! 💜

We met so many wonderful folks, shared a little about Jenneca and our mission, and even raffled off an e-bike, which was definitely a highlight of the day!

We’re grateful for the work the Recovery Bank does in our community and proud to support organizations that make Northeast Pennsylvania a stronger, more compassionate place.

Every event like this is also a chance to introduce more people to Jenneca’s story and the work being done in her name. JSMF exists to create opportunities for women and girls, especially in STEM and the automotive trades, and we’re able to keep doing that because people in our community continue to believe in this mission.

Whether you attend an event, share our work, volunteer, donate, or simply tell someone about Jenneca, you’re helping us keep her legacy moving forward. 💜

Thank you for celebrating Jenneca with us.

We’re so grateful to everyone who spent part of their Sunday with us at TheVspot Bar today.

Thank you to everyone who came by, bought raffle tickets, made a donation, shared a story, brought a friend, or simply showed up to celebrate Jenneca. And a huge thank you to everyone who donated baskets, prizes, time, and support to make the day possible.

As always, we’re especially grateful to The VSpot, Vinnie, Dalton, and all the staff there for welcoming us back year after year and giving us a place where celebrating Jenn always feels a little bit like coming home. 💗

Every dollar raised today helps JSMF continue creating opportunities for women and girls throughout NEPA, and we couldn’t do that without this community behind us.

💗 There’s a reason we keep coming back to TheVspot Bar.

When we celebrate Jenneca’s birthday each year, there really isn’t anywhere else that would feel quite right.

The VSpot was one of her favorite places, but over the years, it’s also become a place that has continued to make room for the people and causes that matter to this community.

So before we take over TheVSpot again on Sunday 😂, we just wanted to say thank you to Vinnie and all the staff for continuing to make space for us, for Jenn, and for this community.

And since they’re gracious enough to let us keep coming back…

we think the least we can do is fill the place. 😉

Happy birthday, Jenneca. 💗🎂

Today is Jenn’s birthday, and we really wish she were here to celebrate it with us.

Birthdays are complicated when someone you love is gone. We miss her every day, but days like today make the missing a little louder.

Her laugh. Her sense of humor. The things she loved. The stories we still tell. The pictures that still make us laugh. All the little things that made her, her.

If you knew Jenneca, you are one of the lucky ones who got to see her magic in action. She was truly kind, thoughtful, witty, smart, and passionate.

Happy birthday, Jenneca. You are so loved and so missed. Every single day.

This is what happens when you show up. 💗

Earlier this year, JSMF donated $945 to Penn State Scranton to help send five girls to STEM summer camp programs.

Each fall, we host a free community Trunk or Treat, giving local kids and families a safe, fun place to celebrate Halloween without worrying about the cost.

We support programs that introduce girls to STEM. We create opportunities for women entering traditionally male-dominated fields. And we look for ways, big and small, to show up for the community Jenneca called home.

That’s where your raffle tickets and donations go.

They’re not just supporting an organization with Jenneca’s name on it. They’re helping us turn that name into opportunities, experiences and memories for people throughout NEPA.

Every raffle ticket. Every donation. Every person who comes through the door Sunday helps us keep saying yes when opportunities like this come along.

So come celebrate Jenneca’s birthday with us.

Have a cupcake. Buy the raffle tickets. Cheer at the TV. Hang out for an afternoon.

And know that somewhere down the line, something as simple as showing up for a birthday party might help another girl discover something she’s capable of.

We can’t think of a better birthday gift for Jenn. 💗

We’re taking over The VSpot for a few hours to celebrate Jenneca, and if you’ve never been to one of her birthday parties before, here’s what you should know:

It’s really just a good Sunday afternoon.

🧁 Eat a cupcake.
🍹 Grab a drink.
🍕 Have some food.
🏈 Watch some football.
🧺 Try your luck at the basket raffles.
💗 Help us raise some money to create opportunities for women and girls in NEPA.
🥳 Hang out with some really good people.

Come for 20 minutes. Come for all three hours. Bring your friends. Bring your football-watching buddy. Come by yourself and pull up a chair.

There is no wrong way to show up. We just want you there.
