Big week over here.

We welcomed the team from The Luzerne Foundation on Wednesday, and it meant the world to us.

They visited as part of the Nonprofit Accelerator program, walking through our model, our mission, and the work happening every week across NEPA.

The Luzerne Foundation invests in nonprofits that elevate the community. We are honored to be one of them. Their belief in our model and their support of our mission is helping us dream and grow in ways we never imagined possible.

Truth: You Are Loved

We wrapped up NEPA Gives last night at 7 PM with a full heart. Thanks to the generosity of 35 donors, $5,570 was raised. Every dollar goes directly to purchasing chef-made dinners through our certified restaurant partners. That means 557 neighbors will be fed.

557 hot, delicious, chef-made meals. Shared through our community network. Because of you.

We have a long way to go.

This is the Grico's team. They wake up early to cook for neighbors they will never meet. That is just who they are. Every time we call, they show up. And like all of our Certified Restaurant Partners, they pour their heart and soul into every dinner.

When you give today, you are not just feeding a neighbor. You are keeping a kitchen like this one running, and you are telling a team like this one that what they do matters.

Super grateful for our partners, like Malacari’s Italian Restaurant & Winery who bring it every month for our partners like Wyoming Valley Catholic Youth Center and for the volunteers like Linda and Sarah who dish out and document the love ❤️

Fork Over Love received the 2026 Head Start Hero Award from Luzerne County Head Start yesterday, and we are so full of gratitude that we don't even know where to start.

Melissa Parente, our Board Chair, accepted the award on behalf of the whole FOL family and said it best: the real heroes are the volunteers who show up every single month, rain or shine, to make sure families are fed.

To every volunteer who has packed a bag, made a delivery, or shown up without being asked: this is yours.

And that award? A framed original drawing made by a Head Start child, presented in a purple frame with a brass plate that reads "Fork Over Love, 2026 Head Start Hero." We will treasure it forever.

Thank you, Luzerne County Head Start, Inc., for seeing us. Thank you for trusting us. And thank you for opening your doors to us back in 2022. We love partnering with you
