The fact of the matter is: we simply could not do what we do without our network of referrers across the country. Our team works with physicians, social workers, and members of the NF community to identify candidates for B Kind assistance. These referrers walk alongside NF families every day, at appointments, through treatment, and in the moments between. They see the needs that don’t always get said out loud, which makes them the most direct path between a family and the help they need.

*Sound on!* Of all the songs to hear at Oktoberfest in Vail… 🍻Our Executive Director and Brandon’s mom, Debbie, was in the middle of the polka bands and pretzels when the crowd broke into “Sweet Caroline.” She hit record right away.

Brandon was a huge Red Sox fan, and anyone who’s been to Fenway knows “Sweet Caroline” is their anthem. For our B the Difference family, it’s Brandon’s song.

Hearing it in Vail, a place Brandon loved, felt like he was right there singing along. Now that’s a B Moment 💚🩷

Living with NF often means carrying far more than most people ever see. The appointments, the financial stress, and the worry don’t stop while the rest of life keeps going. Rebecca and her family were in one of those seasons. Through B Kind, we stepped in with practical help so they could put their energy back where it belonged: at home, with each other.

This is what B Happy trips are all about! ✈️ It isn’t just a vacation for our recipient; it’s a vacation for the whole family. We handle the details, and our hosts take the mental load off so the whole family can unplug, relax, and just be together.

And we are SO proud of this number. When you give to B the Difference, almost every dollar goes straight to the families. That means B Happy trips, where NF families trade hospital visits for five days of adventure. It means B Kind help with rent, groceries, and travel for out-of-state surgeries. It’s real, practical support for people battling NF.

Morgan’s story is a reminder that living with Neurofibromatosis doesn’t always look the way people expect - a lot of what NF families carry isn’t visible from the outside. B Kind helped Morgan with rent and food assistance during a hard stretch, so she could focus less on getting by and more on everything else NF already asks of her.
