MEET DAVID HENDLEY -- STUDIO POTTER

David Hendley has been coming to the Edom Art Festival for many years, and he has collectors who come back year after year looking for him.

David has been a studio potter since the 1970s, working out of an old farmhouse in Rusk, Texas. His stoneware is wood-fired and high-fired, wheel-thrown and extruded, and finished with colorful glazes that give each piece its own personality. His work is completely functional -- pieces you use every day -- but there is nothing ordinary about them. Visiting his studio, where the magic actually happens, is an experience all its own.

Prices range from $10 to $200, and there is something for every kind of collector in his booth.
