ACE Mentor Program of Washington

While we're hard at work gearing up for this year, we wanted to highlight our biggest event of last year, our 2026 Industry Leaders Reception in June, where we awarded $160,000 to 16 incredible seniors. Without further adieu, congratulations to these Seattle, Eastside, and Tacoma students who have since spread out all over the country to study careers in the built environment. Thank you to the 54 firms and organizations that contributed to our fundraising campaign, allowing us to award these scholarships and provide the ACE program to all high school students free of charge. We are especially grateful for our four Platinum sponsors, Mortenson, Magnusson Klemencic Associates, PCS Structural Solutions, and Hargis Engineers. We also want to recognize Chris Martin from LMN Architects who was named our Outstanding Mentor of the Year -- and thank you LMN for hosting us in The Shop! It was an incredible year and we're excited to do it all over again this year. The Shop

As we get ready to start a new school year, we want to send a HUGE THANK YOU to our corporate sponsors for 2026-2027. These are the firms that contribute to the scholarship fund, make it possible for students to participate in things like summer camp and the national competition, cover the our minimal overhead expenses, and so much more. Thank you for your support so we can do what we do best -- helping Puget Sound students discover all the exciting opportunities in the building industry. Special shout-out to our Platinum sponsors, , and . We are so grateful!

It's our final installment in , this time with Stephen N., a rising junior at Lincoln High School in Seattle. Stephen is posing with some of his final sketches as his team prepares for their final presentation. He says, "My favorite part of the day was seeing all our tedious, hard work pay off. As a group, I believe we executed our presentation incredibly well. Seeing all of our buildings come together as a collective whole was truly special." He continues, "The experience was amazing, and words can’t even begin to describe how impactful and fun this camp has been. In fact, the only critique my friends and I had was that we wished it lasted longer!" Thank you to Stephen and our other campers for your reports this year. We are grateful to ACE Mentor Program of America and University of Colorado Denver for facilitating this opportunity, and we can't wait for next year!

We are open! Register for ACE at the link in our bio! Team assignments will not be made until October, so while you can register you are not officially accepted or placed until the team assignments are made. We do expect an Eastside waitlist again this year.

New logo, who dis? Just kidding, we didn't change much... Just how many years we've been around. The year we're celebrating our TWENTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY! Twenty-five years of connecting students and mentors, giving out scholarships, sharing what we love about the building industry, joining with our community partners, and making a difference! We've loved every minute of it! Thank you for being part of our ACE story and stay tuned for ways you can celebrate with us this year!

We had a blast checking out the Seattle Design Festival this weekend! There is no better way to connect with local architects, builders, designers, and creative minds than the annual SDF Block Party! This year's theme was IN[FLUX] and many installations were immersive, thought-provoking, eye-catching, interactive, and even cathartic and peaceful. It was fun to run into so many ACE mentors and supporters - and learn about a few ACE students and alumni who were also involved. Shout out to our ACE friends at BRR Architecture , Mahlum Architects , Magnusson Klemencic Associates , KPFF Seattle , Mackenzie , Perkins&Will Seattle Mithun , The Miller Hull Partnership , HOK in Seattle , Integrated Design Firm , Venture General Contracting , Hoffman Construction Company , Lease Crutcher Lewis , and so many more, for making this event such a huge success and something we look forward to year after year. We love these opportunities for youth to better access and discover their inner designer! Thank you Seattle Design Festival !

We had a great time at the ABC of Western Washington golf tournament last week! Two ACE students hung out at Hole 6 and talked to all the golfers about their experience. The event was "Monopoly" themed so we brought a game to play while golfers waited for their turn. We were excited to talk about ACE and get more folks in our area involved! It was a great event!

We had a blast yesterday hanging out with all the participants at the annual buildHER camp, held at the ANDERSEN CONSTRUCTION warehouse in Kent. To everyone who helped put this event on - THANK YOU for all your work!! And to all the young women who participated - we hope to see you in ACE in the future! Or in any awesome program that gets you excited, like Sawhorse Revolution or ANEW ... There are so many resources for you and we can't wait to see what the future holds. In the meantime, enjoy the sticker offerings for the campers..... Yes, builders are actually hilarious.
