Past president, Suzanne James, and her Service Committee team provided an End-of-Year update highlighting more than 15 service projects, initiatives, and community partnerships that committee and club members supported throughout the year. They truly make a difference in our community.

Amy shared information about the history of ECA, guest presenters, plus education, engagement, and access programs.

Amy also shared that this year is ECA's 20th anniversary season.

Another fun and interesting luncheon last week Claire's Restaurant and Lounge

Our main speaker was Lora Hein, a former National Park Backpack Ranger, presenting on the incredible journey of her work at the National Parks.

After her true education from direct interaction with nature and earning a degree in Environmental Studies from Sonoma State University, Lora pursued a variety of ways to earn a living while being close to nature, including being a seasonal park ranger and fire lookout in the North Cascades, air pollution control technician and inspector, teaching for Upward Bound and Concrete School District, and designing and building passive solar houses in Washington State.

Please join us next Tuesday, the 3rd, at noon.

Tomorrow’s Rotary speaker is a special one.

We’re welcoming Lora Hein, a former National Park backpack ranger who spent years deep in the North Cascades and beyond; fire lookout, environmental educator, air‑quality inspector, solar‑home designer … she’s lived the kind of life most of us only read about.

She’ll be sharing the incredible journey of her work in the National Parks and how a life shaped by nature led her across some of the wildest corners of Washington and the West.

If you love parks, adventure, or stories from people who’ve truly walked the trail, you’ll want to be there Claire's Restaurant and Lounge - meeting starts at 12-noon!

Another great lunch meeting this week as we celebrated our members and two Students of the Month and welcomed two inspiring guest speakers.

We heard from Lincoln, who shared his YES 5050 experience and his trip to Guatemala to help install life‑changing stoves for families.

We also welcomed Tanya Sharp from SparkCreativity.org, who showed us how hands‑on art experiences are opening doors for local youth.
