PSA Sno-King Club general meetings are on the second Wednesday each month at the Lake Ballenger Center. We are the Puget Sound Anglers.

Our meetings free and open to adults and children of all ages, no membership required. We are dedicated to preserving quality fisheries. We believe in the de-commercialization of Steelhead. We believe that our salmon resources can be restored with sound biological management. We believe in the comradeship and wishes of fellow sport fishing anglers. We believe our grandchildren can have a higher quality fishery than any of us ever had.

Here is our chance to effect change. I would encourage you to contact you congressional representative's office and show strong support for HR 9621.

Call the U.S. Capitol Switchboard at (202)-224-3121 and ask to be connected to your senator's office. Tell the staffer your address, if you support or oppose the bill, and the exact bill number HR 9621

We need to be able to start removing pinnipeds from PNW waters before our salmon, along with fishing, become extinct.

This bill will increase permit eligibility, giving the state more say and allow expanded "effective removal methods" beyond lethal injection.

H.R. 9621 would expand provisions of the Marine Mammal Protection Act that currently allow the limited lethal removal of certain sea lions that prey on threatened and endangered salmon.

The legislation would broaden eligibility for removal permits, expand where removals could occur, include additional pinniped species in certain circumstances and change how euthanasia is carried out.

It was super cool to see the 30,000 salmon smolts delivered to the net pen that we assembled last weekend. Here is a slow motion video of them.

Well done!
