This is your chance to get involved with the future of Edmonds Pride! Please read the announcement and post description if this sounds like something you would be interested in!

The current Edmonds Pride Planners have put together an announcement that reads: “The Edmonds Pride celebrations in 2023 and 2024 were amazing successes. This was the result of City of Edmonds working closely with community organizations like Under the Rainbow, Pride of Edmonds, the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce, Edmonds Center for the Arts, ArtSpot, PFLAG, Sno-Isle Libraries, the Edmonds DEIA Commission, and Edmonds Q***r Youth Alliance.

The City of Edmonds leading Edmonds Pride is not a sustainable model for future Pride celebrations or the city, unfortunately. The future of Edmonds Pride depends on someone, or an organization, stepping forward to assume the leadership role. Whether this means creation of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit which is the normal structure, or another approach.

The celebration is established, and the city is willing to remain as a steadfast supporter and partner. They can share all the information used to establish this great community event. We just need leadership to take this on.”

If you are interested in getting involved as a leader, or as a future volunteer, contact Rowan at [email protected]

Anyone who is interested in dedicating the time towards starting a nonprofit to manage Edmonds Pride in the future is encouraged to reach out! We need any skills that you can bring to the table such as event management, nonprofit experience, public communication, volunteer coordination, accounting, graphic design, or anything else! We will find a way to put your skills to use! Planning for next year's pride celebrations needs to start ASAP, so please be ready to get going as soon as you are on board!

If you wish to help, but maybe don't have the time or interest in being on the board of a non-profit, please still reach out! We will put your name down and reach out to you when we need volunteers for our events in June.

Let's make Edmonds Pride 2025 (and beyond) even more of a success!
