Since joining Path From Poverty in 2015, Kavete's life has been transformed! She now has two rainwater catchment tanks and just received a solar panel, thanks to our generous donors.

When Kavete married young, she and her husband faced immense struggles. There were days when they did not have a single meal to put on the table. Path From Poverty empowered Kavete with the knowledge to earn money, leading to a healthier family and consistent participation in her group for years. We are so proud of Kavete and deeply grateful to our donors who help make these transformations possible!

Group members in Malili sing as they harvest grass. Women often earn income by doing “casual labor” on local farms—helping to plant, fertilize, and harvest crops.

Imagine facing deadly hippos just to get water for your family. That's the reality for Pascaline and countless women near the River Athi. Every year, hippos kill around 500 people in Africa.

Pascaline wanted to make a change, but it felt impossible alone. "I woke up very early to fetch water. I feared the hippos and crocodiles, which made things worse. I tried to save for a tank on my own and could not make it. Being in a group has helped me so much." This tank isn't just water; it's safety for Pascaline and her daughters.
