All is well aboard Knight n Gale, Cygnet, and Spirit Moon! We left Port Angeles docks for our long cruise trip through the San Juan islands! Not long after our departure a ship's engine overheated and we're making last minute repairs!

This is a HUGE opportunity for Sea Scouts across the nation! Please share!
Annually, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy (USCGA) offers a unique opportunity for select students who have successfully completed their junior year of high school to experience a weeklong Academy Introduction Mission (AIM) summer program. As the US Coast Guard Auxiliary’s national youth leadership program, the Sea Scouts have an opportunity to nominate up to ten (10) Sea Scouts who have completed their junior year in high school for priority consideration by USCGA’s Admissions Office. Sea Scouts interested in seeking appointment as a Cadet at USCGA, or interested in pursuing a Coast Guard career, are highly encouraged to apply.
USCGA’s AIM application (link in bio) must be submitted directly to USCGA following their selection guidelines.
Sea Scouts who apply to AIM should also complete the Sea Scout supplemental application (link in bio) and submit it to [email protected] no later than Mar. 30, 2021 for consideration as a nominee of Sea Scouts, BSA.
Questions regarding the Sea Scout – U.S.C.G.A. AIM application can be sent to [email protected].
WE HOPE YOU APPLY!!!

I doubt many of our current local Sea Scout Community knew John, but he was a real leader.

I doubt many of our current local Sea Scout Community knew John, but he was a real leader.

It is with a saddened heart but a joyous spirit that we must report that Commodore John Kelly has set sail for a glorious adventure to the far horizon. His course is now set on the stars and to a future of exploring the wonders of the universe and of the heavens.
