The Oklahoma Veteran Support Team

The Oklahoma Veteran Support Team The Oklahoma Veteran Support Team consists of 100% volunteers which assist wounded and disabled veterans in Oklahoma.

We are a non-profit, 501c3 in partnership with the Military Order of the Purple Heart, The Patriot Guard Riders, the Blue Star Mothers and many outstanding veterans groups across the great State of Oklahoma, Patriot Guard Riders, and Partnership for America's Heroes, to name a few. Most of our projects include making homes handicap accessible; building fences for service dogs, building wheelchair

ramps, and recovery of wheelchair ramps. In addition, we have reconditioned electric scooters, wheelchairs and many more veteran related items for those who would otherwise wait several days for those repairs to be made. We also assist in feeding and paying bills for several elderly widows. Our team works with Home Depot to get grants for veterans, so veterans get the training they need and employers are more likely to hire veterans.

I am going to get straight to the point....My nephew, Rusty Dunagan is in great need of a swimming pool. Unfortunately, Rusty cannot use the robotic legs that were made for him. Because of this, we are hoping to provide a swimming pool so Rusty will have the opportunity to exercise. Who will stand with me and the Oklahoma Veteran Support Team?

Rusty Dunagan is my nephew who was injured in 2010. Through this video you can hear his story. I attribute much of what we were able to accomplish, due to men like Larry Van Schuyver, Phil Wultz, and numerous volunteers too numerous to mention, who tirelessly gave of their time. Thank you, Oklahoma for your committed and faithful support.

So honored to hear that we will be providing food baskets for Thanksgiving and Christmas, to 209 veteran families this year! A word of thanks for those who tirelessly work on behalf of our organization to further the cause of helping our wounded and disabled veterans! You are my Stars with Stripes!
