Why do we provide career-focused Arts Education programs? “Because Every Kid Matters!”

Personal creativity is the key to unlocking new frontiers in business. Through our one-hour programs and Arts Residencies, we inspire young people to find their creativity and career passion at the earliest age possible.

P’Light Society Jazz Inc., utilizes the Arts as a catalyst to provide career-focused arts education outreach services to at-risk students. It is crucial that we make these programs available to students who are most at-risk, at community centers, Boys & Girls Clubs, and juvenile detention centers. These facilities have no budget for arts education programming, so we depend entirely upon our Friends of P’Light Society Jazz Inc.

We focus on Positive Youth Development, Arts Education, and Career Readiness - implemented through proven School-to-Work Programs. What sets us apart from all other organizations, is that we work closely with each facility to understand their objectives, goals, and current strategies, and then implement new strategies and measures utilizing our programs. We’ve also established a key performance indicator dashboard that we can share with other organizations.

Fifteen years ago, parents thought that it was forward thinking to teach PowerPoint to fourth graders. Today, preschoolers are learning to Code! CAD and Coding are now integral components of our society, because creativity and technology go hand-in-hand. For this reason, many of our Arts Education Presentations are delivered without playing a single note! Kids don’t need to be entertained…they need to be trained.
