The Volunteer of the Year Award is one of our organization’s highest honors, recognizing an individual who truly embodies the spirit of selflessness, compassion, and community service. This award celebrates someone who has gone above and beyond in dedicating their time and energy to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Through numerous hours of service, unwavering commitment, and a genuine passion for giving back, this individual has demonstrated the true impact one person can have on a community.

This year, we are proud to recognize Lori Love as our Volunteer of the Year for completing an incredible 107.5 volunteer hours. Lori’s dedication, generosity, and servant heart have made a lasting impact on our organization and those we serve.

✨ EWC Throwback Thursday ✨

In 1986, the Edmond Women’s Club was honored with the “Love, Care and Concern for the Abused Child” Award from Citizens Concerned for Children in appreciation of our support of the “Edmond Hope for Children” Toy Drive.

This recognition reflected what EWC has always stood for — neighbors coming together to support children and families in our community. Through the toy drive, club members helped bring comfort, joy, and hope to children who needed it most during the holiday season.

Nearly four decades later, that same spirit of service continues to guide our work in Edmond. We are proud of the women who built this legacy and grateful to continue making an impact today. ❤️

✨ EWC May Recap: Finishing the Year Strong ✨
What an incredible way to close out another amazing Edmond Women’s Club year! 💙
Our Provisional Class spent the month finalizing their Community Service Project benefiting Citizens Caring for Children — organizing, sorting, and delivering just shy of 3,000 donated items including clothing, hygiene products, and shoes. What an incredible impact for children in foster care across our community!
The class also had the opportunity to hear from our VP of Governance and learn more about the important role governance plays within EWC and the future of our club.
Hospitality wrapped up the year with a fun line dancing class, giving members one more opportunity to connect, laugh, and make memories together. 💃
Our members also volunteered at an event hosted by Community Motherhood, where proceeds benefited the incredible nonprofit Kids Joining Eternity — continuing EWC’s commitment to serving and supporting organizations making a difference in the lives of families and children.
At our May General Meeting, we celebrated the tremendous impact EWC made this year together:
✨ $9,000 awarded in scholarships
✨ $63,000 awarded in grants to 22 organizations
✨ 930 volunteer hours served in our community
One of the most special moments of the evening was watching 8 Provisional Members take their oath and officially become Active Members of EWC. We are so excited to welcome these incredible women into our club!
We also celebrated the transition into a new club year as our incoming Board Members took their oath of office. The future of EWC is bright!
What a meaningful and impactful year it has been. Thank you to every member, volunteer, sponsor, and community partner who helped make this year so special. 💫
