Meet our panelist Jennifer Abney, Executive Director and Founder of Angels Foster Network.
Jennifer Abney is the Executive Director of Angels Foster Family Network OKC and a passionate advocate for children and families. As a lifelong community builder, Jennifer loves connecting people, organizations, and resources to create meaningful change and stronger communities. Under her leadership, Angels has become a nationally recognized model for supporting foster, adoptive, and vulnerable families, achieving some of the best outcomes for children in Oklahoma. Jennifer also serves as President of OK Cares, a statewide coalition of foster care agencies and residential providers that works alongside legislators, Oklahoma Human Services, and state licensing officials, to improve policies, strengthen services, and create better outcomes for children. She is also one of the co-founders of The HALO Project OKC, a therapeutic program dedicated to helping children heal from trauma while building healthy, lasting connections with loving caregivers. Jennifer was honored with the Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits Visionary of the Year Award, and Angels Foster Family Network received the prestigious ONE Award for serving Oklahoma families. Jennifer is especially proud that Angels is headquartered in Edmond and supported by the extraordinary generosity, leadership, and compassion of the Edmond community. She believes that when people come together on behalf of children and families, remarkable things happen, and she is honored to share that message as a guest panel speaker today.
We’re excited for guests to hear from Jennifer on July 16th as part of “How She Got There: Becoming a Woman of Influence,” an evening centered around leadership, connection, community impact, and the defining moments that shape a woman’s journey.
