Congratulations, Tarra!!!
🎓✨ Congratulations, Tarra Harrison! ✨🎓
Today, we are thrilled to celebrate a HUGE accomplishment for one of our own, Tarra, our Parent, Family & Community Engagement Coordinator!
Tarra’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. Her story with Head Start began in 2008 as a parent seeking support for her first child. Since then, 12 of her children have been part of Head Start, children she has nurtured through birth, adoption, kinship guardianship, and foster care.
What started as parent volunteer work grew into a powerful career built on service, compassion, and community action. Over the years, Tarra has served in nearly every role imaginable: Substitute Teacher, Teacher’s Aide, Nutrition Technician, Teaching Assistant, Bus Driver, On-Site Manager, Lead Teacher, and now, a leader in family and community engagement.
Before the pandemic, she even stepped into public transportation with CADC to meet community needs, another example of her willingness to go where she’s needed most. Her love for Head Start brought her back, and we are so grateful it did.
And now, Tarra has added another incredible milestone to her story:
🌟 She has earned her Bachelor’s degree! 🌟
This achievement reflects not only Tarra’s dedication to her own growth but the spirit of Community Action, lifting individuals up, breaking barriers, and helping families and staff build the futures they deserve.
At CADC, we don’t just serve our communities. We believe in and invest in the people who make our mission possible. Tarra embodies everything Community Action stands for: resilience, opportunity, empowerment, and the unwavering belief that every person deserves a chance to thrive.
💛 Tarra, we are incredibly proud of you. Thank you for your heart, your commitment, and the countless lives you’ve touched throughout your journey. Your success is our community’s success.
