We have had a wonderful spring at Friendship. New ladies have joined us and Amy has continued to share "words" from Scripture with us that the Lord uses to teach us who He is and how He cares for His people such as caring, peace, comfort and truth. Suzanne and Sherry do a great job acting out the meaning of he words.

Ladies, if you are looking for a place to take an English, Bible, Citizenship, Sewing, Quilting or Craft class come check us out! 9:30-11:30, Thursday mornings at Henderson Hills Baprsit Church in Edmond.

This week was our first gathering of 2026, and we were so happy to see everyone’s faces again.💓

Today, Amy shared with us about joy. It reminded me that if we choose to change our perspective, we can find joy anywhere. Instead of focusing on what we lack each day, we can practice gratitude for what we already have—and that joy can also become a way to bring happiness to the people around us.😊

In 2026, with our Friendship group, let’s continue to learn together, pray together, and grow together—for ourselves, our families, and our friends.💕

We ended our first semester a week early because of inclement
weather. Book 5, Quilting and Citizenship and the Bible class gathered together in their teacher's homes to celebrate Christmas together. We begin our spring semester January 8, at 9:30. International women are welcome to join us!

This week, we had a lovely moment as our chorus students sang together —
their voices filled the room with warmth and joy. 🎶

We also gathered around Thanksgiving pies, enjoying sweet fellowship and a gentle reminder to be thankful. 🥧🍁

In class, the ladies in Book 5 continued sharing about their home countries.
It was wonderful to learn about each other’s cultures, stories, and everyday life.
Getting to know one another more deeply has been truly meaningful for all of us. 💛

Next week is already Thanksgiving.
Wishing you all a beautiful and blessed holiday week. 🍂✨

Last week, I had the pleasure of visiting Ms. Jill and Crystal’s Book One class in the Friendship English program.
The Friendship English classes range from Book 1 to Book 4, so you can start at the level that’s right for you — which makes it very comfortable and welcoming.

I had the chance to join the class for a little while, and I was so impressed!
The lessons are full of useful everyday English — with plenty of opportunities to read, write, and practice conversation that’s truly helpful for daily life.
It’s a wonderful class, especially for those who would like to build a strong foundation in English. 💕

Carol has been sharing fun facts about Oklahoma each week at Friendship. This week we learned the shopping cart was invented in Ardmore and there is a shopping cart factory in Wagoner that supplies more shopping carts than anywhere else in the US. The aerosol can was invented in Bartlesville and the parking meter was invented in Oklahoma City. It's purpose originally, was to keep drivers from taking up the best parking spots in front of stores by leaving their cars parked there for long periods of time. They quickly figured out it was a way to generate money for the city. The "Yield" traffic sign was invented by a gentleman in Tulsa. Looking forward to next week, Carol!

On October 9th, we had a lovely Ice Cream Party after class. 🍦
Everyone gathered together to enjoy cookies, ice cream, coffee, and tea, while sharing good conversation and laughter.
It was a simple but heartwarming time to connect and relax together.

We also enjoyed a beautiful performance from the choir class — their singing filled the room with joy and peace. 🎶
Moments like these remind us how wonderful it is to share fellowship and kindness with one another.

This week’s main meeting was about proud and humble.
We learned through a wonderful demonstration how good it feels to stay humble and kind. 🌿

This time, I visited the craft class. Joan, who teaches the class, showed me some of her beautiful work — so lovely!
Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves — chatting and laughing together while painting, or quietly focusing on their art.
It’s always so nice to see how meaningful conversation can be for women. 💕

And next week, on October 9th, we’ll have an Ice Cream Party! 🍦
The class will start a little earlier that day, so please meet at 9:30 a.m.
Let’s enjoy the class and then have a sweet time together!
