The Administration for Children and Families (ACF) has awarded Head Start collaboration grants since 1990.

Every child deserves to feel like they belong 🧡 "BELONGING," is a new documentary following Stillwater kindergarten teacher Terry Varnell, who builds classroom bonds around one simple rule: you can't say you can't play.

The film is led by OSU Human Development and Family Science emeritus professor Dr. Amanda Harrist as special producer and educator expert. Dr. Harrist's research shows that when children's social standing in the classroom improves, their academics improve too.

A little learning, a little singing and a roaring good time!

Educators and community partners gathered at the Oklahoma City Zoo for the 2026 Transition Summit, sharing ideas to help children feel ready and supported as they move from early childhood settings into school.

The day brought new connections, helpful resources and plenty of energy!

Thank you to the Oklahoma State Department of Education and Oklahoma Partnership for School Readiness for co-hosting, and to everyone who made the day so memorable!

Not all “kids content” is created equal.

The internet is flooded with AI-generated videos built to grab attention, not teach. So how do you tell the helpful content from the harmful content?

Look for content that gives you something to talk about, sing about or play out after the screen goes off. Preview what your little ones watch, and turn off autoplay to avoid unwanted videos.
