Select ESL classes will listen to and discuss the historic speech in their classes. Special thanks to ESL tutor Ann Kanes for incorporating this material in her lesson plan.

Let’s Do This! Literacy New Jersey has helped many Ukrainian refugees like Lydia. Lydia was a lawyer in the Ukraine and now has a job in the US after taking English classes with Literacy New Jersey. She said: “We are lucky that we ended up in the US with my husband and daughter. We fled the war, like many other Ukrainians. The world was not prepared to take care of millions of Ukrainian refugees.” But Literacy New Jersey is ready to help those like Lydia as they arrive in the US. Please consider donating to our challenge on Tuesday June 27. Thank you.

Awesome group of amazing Literacy New Jersey Tutors and ESL Students at the Middlesex County End of Year Celebration! Students were awarded their certificates for 50+ hours of instruction. All of our volunteer tutors did an outstanding job this year. Pictured tutors are: Ivette Martinez, Carmela Lanza, Ann Kanes, Catherine Mitch, Patricia Foley, Dave Wilson, and Lisa Piraino.

Our Computer Skills class is perfect for ESL students who want to practice their English computer vocabulary and practice basic skills. Students who complete our course can receive a certificate to show employers.

In-person classes will be held at the Woodbridge Main Library.
