This week I did a new thing!
Cancer recovery is teaching me to keep practicing doing new things.
I started a Substack community named Crowned and Called, a space for essays and reflections on leadership, justice, resilience, faith, and purposeful living, focused specifically on:
1. Leadership — navigating influence, power, calling, resilience, and growth
2. Justice — law, policy, democracy, ethics, and the human impact of systems
3. Purpose — faith, healing, identity, reinvention, and living aligned
I write especially with a heart for women who lead—women building careers, families, movements, ministries, businesses, and legacies—while welcoming anyone who values thoughtful insight and purposeful living. You do not need to be a woman to find value here.
As I launch Crowned and Called, it was important to start with the truth about the season I am actually living, so I begin with the story of my breast cancer diagnosis and the unexpected blessing I discovered in the middle of it—how it is teaching me, in real time, what it means to be crowned and called for such a time as this.
