On Friday, June 5th, Officers from The Middlesex Borough and Piscataway Police Departments will join together to run a leg of the Law Enforcement Torch Run For Special Olympics New Jersey. The run is expected to reach our town sometime around 2:30pm. The “Flame of Hope” torch will be handed off from officers from the Dunellen Police Department and will travel west on Bound Brook Road/Union Avenue (NJS 28). It will then be passed off to the officers from Bound Brook Police Department. We hope that our community members will line the route to show their support for the officers and runners who proudly support the Special Olympics of New Jersey as the “Flame of Hope” will travel across the state and arrive at TCNJ for the games’ opening ceremonies.

JCP&L has been notified and is dispatching crews to investigate and restore service as quickly as possible.
