Child labor refers to work that deprives children of their childhood, interferes with their ability to attend school, or is mentally, physically, socially, or morally harmful. It is not limited to extreme cases, but can also include situations where a child’s development, safety, or education is compromised.
On World Day Against Child Labour, we recognize the importance of prevention, awareness, and early intervention in protecting children from exploitation. Every child has the right to grow up safe, supported, and able to learn in an environment that prioritizes their well-being.
Child advocacy efforts play a critical role in identifying risk factors, supporting families, and ensuring children are connected to the services and protections they need.
At CACHSC, we remain committed to strengthening awareness and supporting systems that protect the rights and futures of children in our communities.
