You are right where God wants you to be.
Have you heard that recently?
At times, I’ve needed to hear that to help me slow down, remain present and grounded in the season I’m currently in. We hear about seasons, talk about them with our gal pals, and think about all the different ways we’ve navigated through them. Yet we can forget that seasons will always be apart of life, and each one can be similar or different than the other.
Through each season I have personally walked through, I’ve learned this one thing: the season I’m in, what I’m doing, and what has been entrusted to me in that time, is exactly where God wants me to be.
While trying day in and day out to understand why God has positioned us in a certain situation, that at times seems mundane or not where we really want to be, it can become easier than we expected to fall into the trap of comparison. We begin to compare our season, our life, our marriage, our motherhood journey, and our roles, to someone else’s when it robs us from being present in where God has placed us.
You see, it is in the present where we can meet Jesus face to face. The past is filled with parts of us that no longer exist and the the future is awaiting us, but the present is where we can lean into our King’s heart, and where we can remain grounded.
Genesis 28:16 (CSB)
“When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.”
If you are struggling to stay faithful where God wants you to be, ask yourself these 3 questions:
1. God what is blocking me from being faithful in this season?
2. Why am I comparing my life, my role, etc.?
3. How can I grow in certain areas of my walk with you that I have ignored before?
