Wow. It's been a while since we had a movement at the URTGV campus. I know all of you are out there in the nether still. Probably still have this page "liked." I want to say hello. I also want to say,
PLEASE pray for your fellow Destino alumni and current members especially. They have continued down a path of viewing ministry and how we worship/serve God through an extremist, radical left point of view. Very anti-Biblical.
The new speaker for their fall retreat created "Brown church." Can you imagine if I started "White church."
The principal of reaching the lost and marginalized is a good one. Identifying as some invisible entity that needs to divide itself based on race is a bad one. We can not BE THE BODY if we continue to separate based on race. The unspoken truth about this movement, which is bred from the creators of CRT, is that it is teaching whoever adopts it, to have a disdain for brothers and sisters in Christ with white skin. There should be no disdain for ANY color or race. God is a wonderful artist who painted his canvas with many colors. There are different forms of praise, of service, of works, and of worship, but ALL of us are 1 family, 1 body. There should not be division among us.
CRT and the adaptations of such, are bred from the father of lies. In the name of "equality" it teaches division and hate. We should all be aware of how we impact those around us, especially those who may feel like they are not seen. That does NOT mean we need to segregate ourselves into a church of "color".
In the RGV, I always felt like our members knew that and rejected the false teachings that tried to peg them as perpetual victims and they knew they were children of the king. I feel bad for those following the current Destino movement as they no longer teach true disciple making, but are programming students to feel "marginalized" and to have the need to divide further which creates a disdain for their "white" counterparts.
Let's get back to teaching God again. If you are reading this, I encourage you to seek the Lord daily, not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but with humility, seek the face of God and love those He puts in front of you. You are HIS and no lie from the devil can change that. You are called to live life with purpose and to make disciples of Christ, not of yourself. Let's keep the focus on Him.
