Update as of 9:15 p.m.: Despite our hopes that conditions would improve, the rain has left the fireworks too wet to be safely launched. Tonight's fireworks display has been canceled.
Thank you to everyone who joined us today to celebrate Independence Day. While we're disappointed we couldn't end the celebration with a concert and fireworks, we're grateful for a community that celebrates rain or shine. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Update as of 7:50 p.m.: Due to storms in the area, we've made the difficult decision to cancel tonight's concert performances. If you’re outdoors, seek shelter.

As of now, we are still planning to have fireworks, if possible. We'll continue monitoring the weather closely and will share updates if conditions change.

Saturday is almost here! We can't wait to celebrate the 4th of July with you at the Edina Dash, parade, concert and fireworks. 🎆

Before you head out, here's one important reminder: If you're planning to set out blankets and chairs along the parade route ahead of time, please do not block the sidewalks. Keeping them clear is important for accessibility so those with limited mobility can continue using them for everyday needs.

🎶 We’re honored to welcome the historic 204th Army Band to Edina’s Fourth of July celebration!

With a history spanning more than 75 years, the 40-piece band, stationed at Vancouver, Washington, and Fort Snelling, Minnesota, will march in this year’s July 4 Parade before taking the stage at 8 p.m. at Rosland Park. The park performance will be followed by the First John Philip Sousa Memorial Band, which will play until the fireworks begin.

Throughout its distinguished history, the 204th Army Band has earned World War II campaign credits and performed at commemorative events, including the 50th anniversary of D-Day in Normandy, France, and the 60th anniversary of the Liberation of Italy in Rome. Today, the band continues to educate, entertain and inspire audiences through music, and we’re excited to have them as part of Edina’s Independence Day celebration!
