After our amazing trip to DC, Maine, Nova Scotia and home thru New Brunswick, Quebec and Ontario mostly with ideal weather we were home a week and got blasted by a huge power outage, straight line wind and torrential rain storm. Awoke in the morning and our 2 ,70-80 year old Basswood guardians trees in our front yard were laying on each other.

A very direct and personal reminder that our climate is heating up and impacting our lives in powerful ways.

All Sunday morning and afternoon our neighbors showed up to remind us all that community and helping others is the antidote to despair.
