This week, we celebrated the people who make it all possible. The EPI's End of Year Awards wasn't just a ceremony — it was a reminder of why we show up every day. We laughed together, played together, and shared the moments that prove what happens when a team is truly united around a mission.

And our newest team members? They got their flowers. 🌸 The EPI's are special awards given to our newest staff — recognizing not just their hard work, but the unique energy and personality they bring to our family. From walking the red carpet to holding that trophy, they earned every bit of it.

Our staff comes from every walk of life, and that's our strength. Every face in these photos represents someone who is actively empowering people, strengthening families, and building community and trust — not just as a job, but as a calling.

THE ZONE provides a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for students before and after school, including transportation to and from select schools, homework assistance, STEM activities, games, crafts, and more.

We’re so grateful to see people connecting with our mission — even from hundreds of miles away. What started as someone discovering Hidden Gems online turned into real support for families in our community.

This is what the village looks like: people showing up, giving generously, and helping make sure neighbors have access to food, clothing, and essential support.

Recently a man living in Massachusetts was browsing eBay when he stumbled across Hidden Gems — our online thrift store. He noticed we were listed as a charity, visited our website, and the same day sent a donation with a note we'll never forget:

"No one should go hungry or lack the right clothes, especially in winter. Thank you for helping the people society too often forgets."

That's the village in action.

The ZONE is before & after school care for families in Abingdon, Aberdeen, and Edgewood — offering safe, nurturing care every school day with meals, transportation, homework help, STEM, arts, gym time, and more.

The EPICENTER Community Center and Mountain Christian Church came together for Mother Son Date Knight and it was an absolute success! ⚔️💙 Both of our organizations exist for the same reason — to bring families closer and build real community. And that's exactly what this night was all about.
