Fall is upon us! 🍂 Camp EPIC has wrapped up, and we're so glad to be settling back into our regular rhythm with you, our fellow neighbors.

As of August 31, our community centers and Neighbor's Market Food Pantry hours will be as follows:

The EPICENTER in Aberdeen:

Mon–Thu, 11AM–1PM.

The Neighbor's Market Food Pantry: Tue & Thu, 11AM–1PM.

The EPICENTER in Edgewood:

Mon–Thu, 10AM–3PM.

The Neighbor's Market Food Pantry: Tue & Thu, 10AM–2PM.

EPIC Connect 2026 — in the books! 🙌

On Friday, August 21, we partnered with APGFCU and Harford Mutual Insurance Group to connect our neighbors with services... all in one place, all for FREE! From eye exams and dental screenings to food pantry access, housing resources, job resources, recovery help, record expungements, giveaways, and so much more — our community showed up big.

A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers who gave their time and hearts to make this day possible, and to every vendor who partnered with us to bring these resources directly to our neighbors. This annual event only happens because of you.

We are always so thankful to be part of a community that takes care of its own. Here's to another year of EPIC Connect! 💙

☀️ What a summer it’s been!

From casting lines at the pond 🎣 to creating, bowling, swimming, exploring, and cheering each other on — Camp EPIC 2026 was full of fun, friendship, and memories we’ll carry with us long after summer ends. 🧡

We watched kids try new things, discover new interests, make new friends, and simply enjoy being kids. And that’s what makes Camp EPIC so special. 💚

To our campers, families, teachers and community partners and everyone who helped make this summer possible — thank you for making Camp EPIC EPIC! 🎉

The ZONE offers before & after school care at THREE locations — Aberdeen, Abingdon, and Edgewood — for Pre-K through 8th grade (grades offered vary by location, so check your specific site for details!).

THE ZONE provides a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for students before and after school, including transportation to and from select schools, homework assistance, STEM activities, games, crafts, and more.

We’re so grateful to see people connecting with our mission — even from hundreds of miles away. What started as someone discovering Hidden Gems online turned into real support for families in our community.

Recently a man living in Massachusetts was browsing eBay when he stumbled across Hidden Gems — our online thrift store. He noticed we were listed as a charity, visited our website, and the same day sent a donation with a note we'll never forget:

"No one should go hungry or lack the right clothes, especially in winter. Thank you for helping the people society too often forgets."

That's the village in action.
