Our journey from October 7 to today, and the events from 1 to 17.
A year ang a half ago, we were just a handful of close friends, who got together to raise a little bit of money. We decided to organize a flower arrangement workshop, and invite those who love flowers, and support Israel at the same time. One facebook post later, we were almost 15 close friends, huddled around a kitchen table. The idea was to talk about the war, and at the same time be creative, have a together time, and frankly, to share the raw feelings of the moment.
That first evening was memorable and chaotic. Me and Victoria, the organizers, did not have enough scissors, but had more than enough champaign.
Fast forward a year and a half.
What has changed since Oct 7, 2023? I am not a fan of empty words and not going to talk about the many things that shifted, and the many things that stayed the same. What is important, we still need to be together, emotionally. And, unfortunately, the need to continue raising money is still as important as before.
Every time we gather is for the cause. Over the 17 events we held, money raised and sent to multiple organizations in Israel, many workshops ran, and many friends made. Not such a bad story, right?
When you walk into this next event, you’re not just arriving at a flower workshop. You’re joining a circle that’s been growing with every event, and circle that wholeheartedly gives.
This coming event, we are raising funds go to one of the most vital causes we’ve found: supporting IDF veterans.
