Chesapeake Bay Power Boat Association

Chesapeake Bay Power Boat Association We are the premier power boating club on the Chesapeake Bay. Feel free to join our Facebook Group if you have any questions or want to learn more.

To join CBPBA, go to https://www.cbpba.com to register & participate in a full year of activities & events. The Chesapeake Bay Power Boat Association is a Maryland based group of boat owners who share in their love for the Chesapeake Bay waterways. We are a Not For Profit organization with more than 6,300 website members. The CBPBA holds many activities and enjoyable events for the whole family, s

ome of which to promote worthy causes. Our rapidly growing membership includes powerboat owners with small runabouts to large yachts. We typically have something going on just about every month of the year, but most of our activities during the Maryland boating season. We care about the Chesapeake Bay, and we care about boating safety. CBPBA Directors and member volunteers often work closely with the Coast Guard, Natural Resources Police, manufacturers, and boating industry reps to help collect scientific data on noise, speed, navigational obstructions and other pertinent info to help protect the bay, and boaters. We are also often asked to provide expert testimony on power boat issues at regulatory hearings and workshops. Over 80 percent of all boats registered on the Bay are powerboats. Until 1986 when the CBPBA was founded, there was no organized group dedicated solely to representing the needs of power boaters. Join with other local power boaters interested in having fun, protecting their rights and promoting safe & responsible boating on our Bay waters.

Who remembers the 'Hart-Miller Island food boats' back in the 90's and early 2000's? There was a Pizza Boat, and a Pit Beef boat and a Snow Ball boat there almost every weekend.

Well, be on the lookout for this beauty at various locations on the Chesapeake Bay over the summer.

Mike Singer provided some details and the location on what happened to the push tug "Gale" this week. It's a relatively short podcast and shows the general area where the collision occurred with an underwater object.

In Episode 68, Mike and Kipp call an Anchor Alert! - a shorter podcast on today's McLean Tug Gale Incident in the Port of Baltimore in Curtis Creek. They hav...
