WEATHER ALERT: Due to inclement weather, all BCPS schools will transition to virtual learning on Monday, February 23, 2026.

Central and school-based offices will open on time to support schools; employees may shift to telework or request leave with supervisor approval.

As a reminder, virtual learning on inclement weather days occurs on a 2-hour delay schedule for students. Schools have shared their 2-hour delay schedule and instructions directly with families.

All activities are canceled. “Essential” employees will report on time for their assigned shift or may request to use leave time.

WEATHER ALERT: BCPS schools will open two hours late on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. Offices will open on time. Morning Prekindergarten classes are canceled.

All weather-related absences with a note from a parent/caregiver sent to schools will be excused.

Please take extra precautions when traveling to bus stops and schools, as sidewalks, roadways, and bus stop areas may be icy, snow-covered, or partially inaccessible, and visibility may still be limited in some locations. Students should choose safe, visible waiting areas and avoid standing or playing on snow mounds or plowed snow piles.

Offices will open on time. There will be no AM PreKindergarten.

Families and students are urged to take extra precautions when traveling to bus stops and schools. Sidewalks, roadways, and bus stop areas may be icy, snow-covered, or partially inaccessible, and visibility may still be limited in some locations. Parents and guardians are responsible for determining the safest route for their child to travel to and from the bus stop and school.

Students should avoid standing or playing on snow mounds or plowed snow piles, which may be unstable, slippery, or block visibility. Please choose safe, visible waiting areas.
