Cirio Collective. A collective created by Jeffrey And Lia Cirio to explore and develop new choreograp

Cirio Collective's inaugural season was born out of a vision that both Jeffrey and Lia had to bring dancers and other artists together to create and collaborate. They began in the summer of 2015 at Vineyard Arts Project and finished with the premiere of Jeffrey Cirio's "MiniM" at the Cape Dance Festival in Provincetown, MA. Performance Dates:

Season 12: Open Ground ended a few days ago but we are still looking back at the week with full hearts and souls. We are so grateful to vineyardarts for housing us in the perfect setting for creating, to Martha’s Vineyard Performing Arts Center for having us for our showing, and of course to our supporters for always making our season happen.
We spent the week researching, developing, collaborating and creating together. Each dancer’s and choreographer’s voice, imagination, love and care was felt deeply and culminated into something beautiful. We can’t wait to see what’s next.

🚨New Dancer Alert🚨

Please give a warm welcome to Joan Dwiartanto
We are excited to have her join our Collective family! Learn more about Joan below:
Joan Dwiartanto began her vocational dance training at School Of The Arts, Singapore before continuing her studies at The Juilliard School in 2018 where she performed works Aszure Barton, Ohad Naharin, Justin Peck, Or Schraiber, and Bobbi Jene Smith while also developing an interest in dance filmmaking. Her debut short film, ‘Crying On The Island They Own’ (2022) received 12 official film festival selections and multiple awards. Joan joined YYDC in 2023 performing in three evening-length creations both locally and internationally. Joan joined Hubbard Street Dance Chicago as a Swing dancer for their 2024-2025 season, and most recently joined the Gibney Company as a guest artist for their 2025-2026 season.

Please give a warm welcome to a new face in our Collective family: Alex Swader
Learn more about this exciting dancer below!

Alexsander Swader is from Birmingham, Alabama where he grew up training at the Royal Academy of Dance accredited Alabama Ballet School. While attending intensives like Netherlands Dance Theater Summer Intensive and Hubbard Street Winter Intensive, he also performed various professional roles with the Alabama Ballet Company. He received a BFA in Dance in 2021 on scholarship from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and performed guest works by artists Shamel
Pitts and Rena Butler. Alexsander joined Hubbard Street Dance Chicago in 2022, then moved back to NYC to join YYDC in 2023 and has performed in many shows nationally and internationally with both companies. Alexsander has also performed in works by former NDT dancer Alexander Anderson, Akira Uchida, Shane Urton, Noelle Kayser, and others.

Our week will conclude with a Showing & Discussion on July 10, 2026 at 7PM at Martha’s Vineyard Performing Arts Center
