Thank you again for your donations! We have been able to make this years 4th a success and will be able to provide more help for Chowan County's youth in the near future.

The Chowan Edenton Optimist Club is proud to have singularly provided The Fabulous Fourth of July Festival since 1980, with generous financial support (over $900,000) from donations given by our friends, neighbors, and businesses.

Free and open to the public to join in. Walk all or as many steps as you can. Would love to see folks from law enforcement, EMS, and the fire department join us. July 4th, 2026:

Thank you to all who have joined us downtown Edenton, NC this year to celebrate with us! We hope you enjoyed the festivities and fireworks like we did, and more importantly, we hope that it was a memorable day for kids.

As always, we thank anyone who participated in some capacity to help organize, volunteer, and/or make the day a safe event. This includes the wonderful cooperation between town, county, and public safety entities; even agencies from other towns! Thank you to all for taking the time during a holiday and being away from family to create a wonderfully safe, and comfortable day at the park!

If you see someone from a public safety agency, or someone with the town or county who was downtown on the 4th working, give them a thank you for their service. We could not organize the 4th celebration with out those hard working individuals.
