To the mothers raising children with special needs,
we see you!
We see the version of you the world doesn’t.
The mother running on empty but still showing up.
The one carrying the mental load no one else can fully understand.
The one researching late at night, advocating during the day, and holding it together in the quiet moments in between.
We see the exhaustion.
The guilt.
The overstimulation.
The grief for the version of motherhood you thought you would have, while fiercely loving the one God gave you at the exact same time.
We see the appointments, the therapies, the meltdowns, the victories that seem small to everyone else but mean everything to you.
We see the way you celebrate milestones the world overlooks.
The way you’ve had to become stronger, louder, softer, more patient, more resilient than you ever imagined possible.
And we know this path can feel incredibly lonely.
Because unless someone has lived it… they often don’t fully understand the grit and heart it takes to be this kind of mother.
But we do!
We understand what it means to keep showing up even when you’re exhausted.
To carry both heartbreak and overwhelming love in the same breath.
To fight for your child in a world that doesn’t always make space for them.
You are fierce.
You are resilient.
You are the safe place, the advocate, the comfort, and the strength your child leans on every single day.
You are the kind of mother that changes lives simply by refusing to give up.
This Mother’s Day, we honor the mothers walking this road with a strength that deserves to be seen, understood, and deeply respected.
