How are you and your family celebrating Michaelmas?! Don’t worry if you still feel unsure of the Waldorf celebrations... three yrs in and I’m just now fully engaged and understanding how magical they can be! I suggest making them your own with your family! The goal is the meaning behind them and the magic and wonder!
Aria celebrated at school with a play by the older students followed by a hike and a snack of dragon bread her class baked! She was so excited telling me how they made the dragon bread the other day! Her amazing teacher has a very fun adventurous story she tells as the ingredients are mixed and kneeled together! Aria won’t eat the dragon bread but she love to help make it! They also got to watch teachers and student challenge each-other in games of tug a war! She couldn’t wait to pick out which red dress she would wear as a symbol of her bravery and courage! Tomorrow we have plans to meet with friends to dye some silks yellow using goldenrod and turmeric! Do you and your family have any magical plans for this weekend?! WOE friends! We have ended for the time being while we wait for the arrival of our new little member to our family but I wanted to share with you another great place to go to find amazing like minded, friendly families to spend time with! Please check out a Waldorf Inspired Summers page for any upcoming events! It is an amazing opportunity for Waldorf inspired families to connect and support one another and it happens at the beautiful Aurora Waldorf school! A great chance to see the school if you haven’t visited it already and meet some of the teachers! And can’t forget, check out the school store!

We have one more week of our summer session left and then we plan to take a break while we wait for the arrival of baby number 3! I am not sure how I am gonna keep from having WOE sessions each week 😂 I just love it so much! I am going to miss everyone so be sure to keep an eye on the page just Incase I throw In any events before my due date!

This week we enjoyed songs, and indoor play with a delicious homemade snack of blueberry muffins and fresh picked blueberries and strawberries 😋 we made hand kites with wooden rings and ribbon which we then took outside to watch fly as we ran through the yard! We also got to enjoy a hike through the woods and some mud pancakes in the mud kitchen 😁 such a beautiful day with friends ❤️

A beautiful start to our summer session here at WOE. Today we made bubble wands and enjoyed homemade biscuits with homemade strawberry jam! 😋 The kiddos enjoyed playing outside and checking out the aquatic frog we found! 🐸
