Have y’all been practicing? The always exciting competitions at the Charlie Poole Festival are coming up soon, and we have exciting news! All outdoor activities at this year’s event, including the contests, are free and open to the public. Registration is on site for a variety of categories in old time and bluegrass styles. Youth contests are on Friday, and adult (but youth can enter, too!) are on Saturday. Prize money and ribbons in all categories, including $1,000 for Grand Champion Banjo - Charlie Poole style!

This special award is presented to the overall entry that truly captures the holiday spirit, and P.I.C.K. did just that — filling the streets with festive music, bright smiles, and joyful energy! 🎶

P.I.C.K. is a wonderful community program that gives local kids the opportunity to learn music, build confidence, and share their talents. Under the dedicated leadership of Director Louise Price and a team of amazing, passionate instructors, P.I.C.K. helps young musicians find their rhythm — both on and off the stage. ❤️🎺🥁🎻

We were thrilled to see their creativity, enthusiasm, and Christmas cheer light up the parade last year. Congratulations again to Louise Price and the entire P.I.C.K. family for bringing music and magic to our community!
