Two families. Two heroes. Two heartbreaking reminders of why we started the Shield and Valor Foundation.

Since starting our foundation, we’ve lost two members of our first responder family to mental health trauma. Minnesota State Patrol Trooper Uthe. Allina Paramedic Charles Brady.

This is happening far too often.

To the Uthe family, the Brady family, and everyone who loved them, we are deeply sorry for your loss. Our hearts are with you.

We started Shield and Valor Foundation because we believe support shouldn’t begin only after a tragedy. It should exist long before someone reaches that point. Through the outdoors, connection, and community, our mission is to remind veterans and first responders that they don’t have to carry the weight alone.

If you’re struggling, please reach out. If it’s not to us, reach out to a friend, a coworker, a family member, or someone you trust.

You matter.
You are valued.
You are not alone.

It’s okay to not be okay.
It’s just not okay to suffer in silence.

Just 2 Days Away!

We’re just 2 days away from the inaugural Shield and Valor Foundation Summer Classic!

While the bass tournament is officially FULL, we’d love to invite everyone to join us at Tinnies Tavern and help support our mission of serving veterans and first responders.

Saturday’s Schedule:
🎣 Bass Tournament: 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM (full)
⚖️ Weigh-In: 2:00 PM at Tinnies come support the anglers.
🎶 Live Music by Jack Skanson: 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM
🎟️ Raffle: Through 5:00 PM

Bring your family and friends, grab some food and a drink, enjoy the music, and help support a great cause. We would love to see you there!

Our first event was a success.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, shared encouragement, and supported our mission. Every conversation reminded us why we started Shield and Valor Foundation.

First event. First Step.

We’re out at Watkins Tough Days today for our very first community event! Can’t wait to share what we’re building and our mission to support veterans and first responders through the outdoors.

Every impact starts with a first step, and we’re excited to keep growing this community.

We all fall into this at times. Picking up off-duty jobs, working extra shifts, staying late to finish one more task, or answering just one more work call.

There’s nothing wrong with working hard. Just remember, you can’t buy more time.

Be present with the people who matter most.
