Wondering what happened at the marsh along Anderson Lakes Pkwy and Amsden Way? This project is a wetland shoreline restoration project conducted by The Preserve Association thanks to a grant by Nine Mile Creek Watershed.

Grants are also available to private residents wanting to improve native landscapes in their own backyards.

Native plantings help filter rainwater, sequester carbon, and reduce sediment runoff into our streams and rivers.

The Preserve waterways drain into the Minnesota River, so every little bit helps!

We can't wait to hear from you!

Please contact [email protected] by Sept 30th if you are an original home owner in The Preserve or if you live next to someone who is.

Love Trees? We Do Too!

Join The Preserve Association and Minnesota Master Naturalists this National Public Lands Day to help inventory trees around Neill Lake in Eden Prairie.

The event will take place from 9am to 12pm on Saturday, September 26th. Volunteers in teams of three will record tree species, diameter, and canopy condition for trees around the east side of Neill Lake.

Please bring a 10-ft cloth measuring tape or DBH tape if you have one, a smartphone with the iNaturalist app installed, and any extra water/snacks you may need. Long pants, long sleeves, and waterproof shoes are recommended.

RETURNING THIS YEAR: Trunk or Treat, games, other activities for adults and children.

PRIZES FOR BEST DECORATED TRUNK

What is Trunk or Treat?

Trunk-or-treat is a community event where children go from car to car in a parking lot to collect candy, instead of going door-to-door in a neighborhood. Participants decorate their car trunks with Halloween themes, and families gather in a central, controlled location like a parking lot for a safer and more organized trick-or-treating experience.

To Participate: decorate your car trunk in a Halloween them or scene (creativity counts) and bring a treat or trinket to distribute.

All families are welcome to participate in the trick-or-treating experience! Trunk not required.

To make this fun, we would like as many cars/trunks as we can. If you would like to participate, please let me know.

Donations Wanted: Hay Ride Props

We need donations to make it a success! We are looking for spare spooky Halloween décor and supplies that can handle the outdoors and do not need access to electricity. Examples include: bats, spiders, witches, ghosts, plywood (any size, must be in good condition), acrylic paints, hinges (to make foldable props), old sheets, skeletons of all kinds.

Evelyn Law, former General Manager of The Preserve Association, passed away on July 30, 2026.

I think a lot about the people who came before me and helped make this place the amazing community it is today. I am truly grateful for Evelyn and others who created and preserved this space for all of us...... now and in the future.

During her tenure from 1984 to 1998, Evelyn played a pivotal role in protecting the community's treasured "Forever Wild" natural areas.
