When a family learns that their child has died or will not live long after birth, everything changes. There are decisions to be made and people to contact. A lifetime of memories must be created in a very short time. 11 Angels walks down that path with families to support their needs, anticipate the decisions that lie ahead, identify needed resources, and be a truly understanding shoulder to lean

11 Angels will accept calls from many different sources to request 11 Angels services for a family facing stillbirth, pregnancy or infant loss. When a referral is made to 11 Angels, a member of the team will contact the family. During this phone conversation the needs and desires of the family will be discussed and resources will be assembled to support the family accordingly. This may include:
* Development of a birth plan.
* Provide materials and information.
* Identification of decisions to be made.
* Coordination of family needs and plans with hospital/birth center staff.
* Companion throughout labor and delivery.
* Resource identification and referral.
* Support for extended family - siblings, grandparents and others.
* Make contacts as requested. This may include notifying clergy, employers, family, and friends.
* Ongoing support and encouragement.
