It's a wrap on a successful campout with the girls troop in Cuyuna; lots of activity on the ice, despite the cold. The seven girls made fishing, lake tag at night, skating, star gazing and general shenanigans a weekend of fun.

So proud of this girls troop, 5695. It's small but growing since 2020. Nearly all present plus guests for their first 2023 program year meeting. They planned the meeting, loved their unique art activity and held unit elections. They had a fantastic experience at summer camp at Many Point with 11 girls in attendance.

Troop 695 Philmont Crew 2023 successful shakedown campout at Afton State Park. 10+ miles with packs makes a good training benchmark. Practiced packing up a few times and the Philmont cooking method.

Here is some more information for the Earth Day event associated with the Sumac Campout. All are welcomed - regardless of campout attendance.

Help plant 50 American Elm Trees in the first-ever Minnesota reforestation of American Elms identified as naturally resistant to Dutch Elm disease by the University of Minnesota Invasive Species Lab. Learn the science behind the project, roll up your sleeves and get dirty, and meet Scouts from across the metro area who share your interest and commitment to conservation. This is an Eagle Scout project, being led by Green Crew (Venture Crew 3111) cofounder Hannah Barisonzi, with the support of the Green Crew on behalf of the University of Minnesota Invasive Species Lab and the Izaak Walton League of America. Join us on Saturday April 22nd
