Schützenkönig 2019: Chris Pederson Schuetzenverein was a big part of Eau Claire in the 1880s and 1890s. As well as Eau Claire there were many schuetzenverein in Wisconsin. We mainly focus on the "schuetzen rifles" in the tradition of the late1800s to early 1900s and

largely use the targets of that era. Like the modern German Shuetzenverein (spelled "Schützenverein" in German) we may consider adding other types of sport shooting to the club's activities. The modern E.C. Schuetzenverein (originally called "Schuetzen Committee") has its beginnings with the schuetzenfests first started by Andy Muenich, Bill Flanagan and others in the '80s with Laurie Gapko joining them shortly after.
