In Memory Of Richard Canfield 06-02-1947 ~05-10-2010 Remembering Richard "Richie" Our beloved Richard Canfield was called home by our savior on May 10, 2010 at his home in Dille, West Virginia. He loved kids.

He is preceded in death by his father, Varis Canfield; son, Tommy Canfield; stepdad, Richard McMahon; and baby sister, Carol McMahon. He is survived by his mom, Vi McMahon; son, Bobby Canfield; daughter, April Hardway; stepsons, Paul, John and Brian Strouf; sisters, Linda Bordone, Pat Canfield; brother, Bob Canfield; sister-in-law, Lisa Canfield; daughter-in-law, Sarina Canfield; grandchildren, Me

lody Canfield Rector, Brittany and Dawna Hardway, Jacob and Christopher Canfield; nieces, Nancy Kortava, Debby Finne, Kathleen McMahon; nephews, Richard Stapleton, Dave Ranta, Joesph Leone, John Bordone, Jake Canfield; and many great-nephews and -nieces. Richard was born June 2, 1947 in Sutton, W.V. He then moved with his family to Brooklyn, New York where at age 17 he joined the services and fought bravely in Vietnam, doing two tours. After the war he became an over-the-road driver and traveled the country. He settled down for a while in Eau Claire and River Falls, WI, before moving back to Dille, W.V. Richard loved helping others and making people laugh. His smile and laughter could brighten any room. In a few weeks he will be blessed with a great-grandson, Ayden Rector. Our brave solider and love one will be greatly missed. Rich loved to make people laugh and play jokes. He loved animals. He def. was a child trapped in an adult body you can say :) miss and love you Uncle Rich!
