40's on Friday. Eau Claire Fire Dept. (ECFD) Fire Station #1 (Bellevue & Madison Streets).Firefighters (l-r) Gene Soley, Al Gessner, Delos Sather, ?, with 1947 Buffalo engine, 750 GPM Hercules 6 cylinder, 2800 RPM, a powerful truck with overdrive. The rig was built by the Buffalo Fire Appliance Corp. in Buffalo, NY

Fire Station #1 closed when Fire Station #10 opened in 1950 on the corner of Birch St. & Hastings Way.

Our 1954 Darley/FWD Chippewa Falls Fire Dept. Engine #2 on display at the new Chippewa Area History Center is getting the finishing touches with hand painted gold leaf pin stripping today (1/9/2024) thanks to Kurt Gaber and Karen!!😄😃

"Fifty's on Fridays" - Check out this 1953 FWD Engine #77 of the Chicago Fire Department, a 1000 gpm pumper. Does this truck look familiar?? Almost identical to our 1954 FWD/Darley restored Chippewa Falls Fire Dept. Engine #2 that's now on display inside the new Chippewa Area History Center (except it has a roof over the cab).😃😃. Also the black over red paint scheme is now being used by several of the Fire Departments in Eau Claire & Chippewa Counties on their new Fire/EMS apparatus & ambulances.

Thirty's (1930's) on Thursdays Edition - Check out this 1938 Seagrave Safety Sedan Pumper of the Detroit, Michigan Fire Department.. It served a dual purpose as DFD Engine #31 as both a safety vehicle for firefighters traveling to a fire scene as well as a working fire pumper truck.
