Tonight - tonight - tonight

This session will explore the concept of writing memoir. We will discuss the difference between memoir and autobiography, read some examples of memoir and why they are effective, touch on audience and how we want our memories to be perceived by others, and try our hand at a few ways to begin recording our own memories. Please bring whatever you need to write comfortably: laptop, journal book, legal pad…whatever works best for you. By the end of the session, you will have some strategies for starting or continuing your own memoir and some contacts of people who will be happy to help you along the way.

Barring bad weather, don't miss guild this coming Tuesday. We have a great speaker lined up!

About the Presentation:
Life is a gift and each day we unwrap it anew. At 75, Dennis Miller is acutely mindful of God’s hand over his life. From every creative thought to each breath, His calling gives him purpose. While many seek to know how to write a book, few ask why: Why write about your local history? Why write about your grief? Why write about your life? By sharing his books, Dennis Miller will encourage all to capture those special moments and snatches of time that not only live on in remembrances but transform our lives too.

Bio
Dennis R. Miller is the author of 12 books and creator/producer of 7 films. As a bereaved father, he founded Tears of Love Ministry – www.tearsofloveministry.org. He is co-founder and member of Chippewa Valley Local Authors and member of Chippewa Valley Evangelical Ministerial Association. Dennis also volunteers for the Good News Jail Ministry.
