We are community volunteers that will be knitting and crocheting yarn art for a Yarn Bomb in downtown Eatonville, WA. We plan on turning City Park(in front of the High School at the entrance of town) into a work of art for the week leading up to our art festival in August. Once our art has been enjoyed by our town, we will be collecting it and turning them into
one-of-a-kind art blankets and auct

ioning the items off. All proceeds will go to paying for school lunches for our children here in Eatonville. We believe all children should have a hot meal everyday, and one way to guarantee a hot lunch is if we can raise enough money to pay for the lunches. Some kids may be low income, some may just forget their lunch money. We want to make sure everyone eats and does not fight hunger while they are trying to learn. This will be a huge effort and we may not feed every kid our first year but our goal is to get there, and start a tradition that can be carried on. On top of the charitable nature, we look forward to coming together with all ages of woman, young and old, from all backgrounds, and being positive role models on one another. Showing our young ladies if we have a passion we can change our town, feed a child, change the world, and make our lives A WORK OF ART.

I just received a call from Dr. Romig, who is a big supporter of feeding kids, and he told me he just watched a newscast on Komo 4 about a man raising funds to pay off a school's negative lunch accounts. Paying for school lunch just got a whole lot easier! You can pay online through Skyward. There is a 3% transaction fee, but worth the extra pennies to sit in my p.j.'s, late at night, and bring those lunch accounts current! Try it out folks, it saves you time and hassel.
